This is why I always wish for MMO-style games to have a companion AI option, at the very least to fill the void for times when you cannot play with other friends. It helps especially when enemy AI is designed to be taking on multiple people at once and thus you’re not the most important thing in the room at all times.

Black hole is an object, with such an enormous mass compacted in such a a dense volume that its gravity well pull in everything in its path including light. By no mean it meant as a literal “hole”.

Jason, I’ve been a developer on more than one of these types of monolithic ambitious-but-aimless projects that eventually lurches over the finish line (late). You’ve gone through months (or years) of very real suffering to get it to that point, and when it arrives, you’re embarrassed at what’s been put out. It’s

Damn that sorcerer! 20 gold pieces and I’m wankered on Rohypnol”

Launch the nuclear weapons.

Toast of London is the best thing on Netflix. Do yourself a favor.

I’ve been a major Trek fan since the beginning. I’ve seen all the franchise, all the knock-offs, all the wannabes. I’ve got lots of opinions on all of it.

Why not play it straight? Have the proto assassin’s fighting for human liberation, just as Adam and Eve were back in the early games. They

I am Reefguy007 from Reddit, one of the two creators. I just wanted to say thank you Mike for sharing our creation on Kotaku, it means A LOT!

But . . but . . don’t you remember?  You created this trope!  It was you all along!  You’ve been thinking about it a lot recently because your past self put that in your brain to make you realize it was all because of you!

That's "Gamer" culture for you. A lot of "<developer/series/publisher> are Gods among us and can do no wrong!" followed by "They are irredeemable cancer and nobody should ever support them again" as soon as they do something that person doesn't like. This is just a subset of that larger attitude.

I can’t understand how the Internet have started to shit so often on infinite. It never tried to do a branching sort of storytelling, hell the theme of the game is about how some things always stay the same. It have some intresting stuff to day about game narratives on a meta-level and have intresting worldbuilding.

Stop. Giving. Us. MMO. Lite. Games.

Did my best to make myself!
