I love FF12 in retrospect but at the time it felt like it was seriously lacking in the usual conversations and character development you get in an FF. I did kind of like the fact that Ashe in FFXII didn't seem to be an entirely 'good' person, though I can't quite recall the details of why at the moment. I just felt

Agrias was great.

Now playing

I absolutely love the music it plays when it's showing you the character classes. That's awesome!

I'd say 'too late' more than anything ;)

The dialogue in Lunar (the Playstation version by Working Designs, at least) was awesome. They put so much effort into the dialogue, though I suspect the cultural references might put some people off.

There are a few good, or at least amusing NPCs. I like the Jarl's brother in Whiterun who says "All this standing around is just rubbish!!"

Yeah, this is just infuriating!!! The first thing any bartender in the world ever says to me is that this little kid in Windhelm is trying to summon the Dark Brotherhood. How the hell did that kid get so famous, so fast and why isn't anybody doing anything about him!

Sometimes they DO! Go and talk to the Librarian at Winterhold, though his switcheroo may only happen on certain quests.

The demo did this game no favours at all...

You hit the nail on the head there. It's one of the reasons I don't really get RTS games; I like to take my time with strategy games.

It would probably keep changing the rules until it suddenly announced it had won and you be all "What the hell?!??!"

Suikoden does villains so well.

Thirded!!

I've never read the book and I thought it explained everything you needed to know. I'll never understand why people have trouble following it.

Also like Tron Legacy in that people like to give it a kicking for no apparent reason.

You can't dislike Brian Cox; It would be like kicking a puppy!

I LOVE depth of field, personally.

Dammit!!!!!

Reminds me of Fifth Jerusalem in Xenosaga.

Much as was really looking forward to Ni No Kuni and worrying that it wouldn't get a western release, I found that by the time the demo came out I had almost totally lost interest. I never though I'd say it, but I think I've just fallen out of love with JRPGs :(
