I find it a shame when creative methods like this are stomped out; I guess it was actually still illegal, so Toyota is lucky that they got away with it and didn't incur any penalties.

Hey, it simply means that every crime that has ever been committed in the US has now been solved, right? Otherwise, it'd be silly to be working on such trivial matters.
The crushing envy I felt when I saw the video of Webber driving around in a 918 Spyder with Maria Sharapova was epic. I was irrationally angry at what I had seen. Now I get to feel it all over again.
Imagine the Gs you can pull with some Pilot Sport Cup shoes!
I don't see why they won't make an exception. Whether they use the '14 chassis or design a new one, it will still be at the back of the grid. Heck, if you let them use last year's car, they will probably be far out of the 107% anyway.
That's the first thing I thought about after I read the article. I loved the reaction of the Aussie TG presenters when they find out where the engine is place and what was actually put into the van.
Ah, the Porsche method of product planning.
Agreed. Also, in Canada, the price of a 4 door GTI gets expensive once you factor in taxes.
On a similar note, you don't really see those Aussie style utes, like the Maloo or the BRAT (car up front, business in the back, like an automotive Aussie mullet).
After seeing a part of his collection in Paris a few years ago, I can confidently say that this might be one of the least interesting cars he owns.
It's more like "hee-yun-deh", there's no hard 'a' or 'i' sound at the end, and the 'y' is pronounced like in 'yellow'.
Jalopnik is weird that way. I think even if Alfa Romeo built a brown, manual, diesel-powered wagon, Jalopnik would still find a reason to hate it even though it'd be the most Jalop vehicle ever.
Who cares? Be with your damned family for at least once a year...
Similarly, I feel disappointed that these great Ferrari articles are coming to an end.
Hooning is a mindset, I know because 110hp Hyundai Accent + fresh snow + empty parking lot = hoonage
Agreed, I hope I didn't come across as making it sound safe, but I did say that it makes you more aware "in a sense" (which you outlined very clearly). Overall, any state other than sober is going to make you a worse driver.
It really depends on who you talk to; for most, I'd imagine the levels of paranoia some experience could potentially be detrimental when driving. On the other hand, the same thing could be beneficial because of the fact that you're paranoid, and in a sense, more aware of your surroundings.
I like this because it's so weird and different... you won't be mistaking this car for anything else on the road...
I've seen an X6M in my city with a BMW racing livery (white with the red/blue M colours).
"Wait, the costs of running F1 can buy HOW MANY V6 Mustangs?!?!?"
