Meh. The overturning of Roe was supposed to provide a huge boon to the revenue of feminist sites like Jezebel but it really has turned out to be a nothingburger for the majority of the American people. That’s why the site shut down yesterday.

When I was eleven years old I walked up to the other team’s coach and said the harshest, most inexcusable thing to him. They were just words, but those words got me a punch on the top of my head. More of a hammer strike really.

To be clear, I’m not trying to argue. I’m only saying that we cannot become the extremists we oppose. Rep Tlaib, though what she’s saying may be factually correct, needs to exercise self-restraint. There are facts, and then there are facts that do not need discussion. She dabbles too heavily in the latter.

The important points I’ve touched on are that traffic on the Kinja sites has fallen dramatically since 2019, which was already a massive decline from a few years earlier.

I’m not saying that we have double standards but that we should avoid having double standards by admitting that much of what Rep. Tlaib says is inflammatory and primarily for her benefit.

Laura Bassett has been confirmed as Crystal Jewell. Laura resigned from Jezebel and 48 hours later Crystal Jewell’s threads were scrubbed from the site. That can’t possibly be a coincidence.

I guess. I don’t mind strange writing as long as I can understand it. Laura Bassett wrote her Crystal Jewell posts to be charmingly zany yet also cogent and relatable. That was some weird Jezebel writing I could get behind. But this Dakota Johnson stuff just leaves me befuddled.
