He didn’t draw attention to the violence and hostility people face.
He didn’t try to do anything “for the greater good”.
As long as we agree on the destination, it doesn’t really matter what route we take to get there. That’s all I’m saying. We’re on the same side here. What Jussie did took guts and I respect him for it.
Ungrey!
Ungrey!
Ungrey!
Jussie’s plan failed through flawed planning, but that doesn’t mean the goal wasn’t noble. It just means Jussie is not a good planner.
You’re getting distracted by nitpicking over methods rather than outcomes. Outcomes are what matter.
There is nothing right about faking a hate crime.
This isn’t some Both Sidesist issue here. There is no other side to this coin. Jussie took a risk for the greater good and it didn’t work out. While that’s unfortunate, it doesn’t have any greater impact than as it relates to Jussie’s personal space.
Now that is not true at all. Don’t just lie like that. Jussie has done some amazing advocacy outside of his professional work. He’s done work for Time’s Up and campaigned for Kamala Harris. He’s done amazing work for the + Community. The LGBTQ Community. The Women’s March. BLM. Never Again. And so much more.
I would never be brave enough to do what Jussie did. He put his personal freedom at stake and shined a light into some dark corners that need cleaning. In a way, I’m proud of him. Because it doesn’t necessarily matter that this event didn’t happen. It matters that it could happen. That’s the real issue here. So…
Snitch-enforced?
Thank you for at least saying Kyrsten’s name. So many of the haters dehumanize Kyrsten by not calling her by her name. You didn’t do that, so we have that in common if nothing else.
Why can’t you be like exolstice and just admit Kyrsten did good?
Oh whoopee she did the bare fucking minimum
Call it dumb if you will, but it’s my habit to support the hard-working writers at Jezebel and defend them against unwarranted criticism.
Yep. Kyrsten served the haters a steaming mug of STFU, and they’re drinking it black.
That’s true, but the fact that a skilled journalist like Ashley remembers Hillary as Secretary of Defense is a testament to Hillary’s image-making prowess.
