Nothing new here. Disdain for female biological functions related to reproduction (pregnancy, childbirth, menstruation, etc) is a big part of male (yes, I am talking about people who are biologically male) “culture”.

I don’t suppose it matters on the birth certificate, but it does seem a little foolish to just pretend sex has no relationship to health. You don’t need to force anything on a child, but that is medically necessary information regardless of what gender, if any, the child identifies with.

I agree completely. It’s hard. Terribly hard...but if your body can’t keep you alive due to a terminal non curable or treatable disease, then you should not be alive.  

I read elsewhere that the experimental procedure the parents want (which has not even been tested in mice) would have zero chance to improve his brain function even in the most miraculous of best-case scenarios. This is Terry Schiavo all over again. The brain matter is irreparably damaged, full stop.

Totally agreed that it would suck hard to come across a house you already bought on the site. On the other hand maybe a some of the people who read her site will leave with new knowledge that will help them avoid buying a shoddy house and get into someplace that will be a good home for decades to come.

I HATED this movie. He’s your best friend but you clearly haven’t communicated with him in ages and haven’t met his fiancee and don’t know he’s engaged? And trust me nobody knew the words to Say A Little Prayer back then to all join in a singalong. The only thing that was good was Cameron Diaz ending up happy. Blech.

I hated hated hated this movie. These people don’t inhabit the same planet as the one I’m from and there is nothing likable about Julia’s character at all. She gets away with being awful because she’s cute and has a gay friend, but this is the kind of person you cut out of your life with prejudice.

I think he was very foolish for taking the trip, even if he hadn’t been imprisoned and even if this hadn’t been the outcome. Literally the best case scenario is that you get to leave the country intact.

i was born a black woman in america and i wouldn’t use the phrase “loving and welcoming” to describe it (at least regarding certain demographics). my own personal opinion.
