Unfortunately, a lot of people who fall for this type of quackery don’t really have the money to spare. They scrape it together by scrimping or shorting other more important things, so after they spend the money and nothing comes of it, their situations just get that much more desperate.

But singing and joking is a show. If they do a good job of it, then that’s a draw. It doesn’t have to be drama, but it does have to be a schtick that people are engaged by.

Well, for me, it’s playing the damn game myself. Which is my preference.

Yep. For me, not even world class e-sport athletes are all that interesting to watch. While I haven’t and probably won’t watch this guy, nor have I ever found guys like PewDiePie interesting, the only streamers I’ve watched for more than a few minutes were always just hamming it up.

Unless they are a world class e-sport player, what’s the point of watching a streamer who isn’t putting on a show with their antics?

People watch shit that’s obviously good filtered their own blinkered worldview.

Now that this is done, I wonder if the show can finally get back to adding some depth to the “Other” Big 3. In the first season, Toby actually had real flaws that the show explored a bit. In season 2, he’s been perfectly sweet, charming and always been able to make the right move.

I thought I would hate Caillou, but oddly enough, I don’t hate the old Caillou so much as the new ones. The voice acting may have been obnoxious in the old one, but in the new webisodes they’ve been releasing, the voice actors for the parents are sooooooooo bad that it just overrides all other considerations.

He does have kids. I have to imagine it’s the only way it wound up in his Netflix queue.

You can have one without the other.

Either that or just go balls to the wall over the top wacky. I haven’t eaten a bag of Doritos in over a decade, but I still enjoy their commercials.
