It’d be slightly preposterous to argue that The Assassination Of Gianni Versace is some sort of remarkable Marxist critique of capitalism and material wealth,

I mean, they also wouldn’t have done it if this shit didn’t work. It’s not like this is some newfangled marketing angle that no one else has ever employed.
They did.
I mean, it’s hard if you want to be able to keep on monetizing the estate. If you say “We just wanna get paid” then the magic of the commercial disappears. Mark my words, this shit will work.
People are bad at self-reflection.
Relative to prior Super Bowls I behaved pretty well last night I think.
Maybe, I guess, but ultimately there are some broad goalposts that most (not all) people wind up positioned on one side or the other of that are useful for trying to deal with the fact that not every discussion can be modularized to perfectly encircle each and every person’s specific circumstances.
Eh, the longest “forced” gameplay I can think of is a match of Defense of the Ancients, which can range from 20 minutes to an hour. Even then, if you die, while continuing to watch the match makes it easier to jump back in when you come back, once the game gets into the 30-40 minute mark, you’re dead long enough to…
Unless he was wetting his pants, I don’t think he was drinking anything.
This one was certainly visually stimulating, but yeah, of all things an ad for the freaking NFL and the Tide commercial (or all the commercials really) were definitely the most “clever” of the bunch.
Yeah, but that wasn’t a Lexus commercial.
Honestly if he wasn’t an alcoholic he would have been a comic book hero-esque paragon and I would have been glad to see him go, but his struggles were extremely well crafted parts of the story and the fact that at his death not everything was oh-so-perfect is why I can enjoy this show with my wife.
But if Democrats take control of the house he is no longer the committee chairman.
Yeah, For me personally, it would have been weird, but as long as familial affection between a parent and kid stops short of the “I” word though, it’s something I’m leery of judging.
Well, sort of. The stat differences between them meant that some were vastly better than others.
In the original version, the stats balancing was a mess.
In the original version, one surefire way to do well was to set whatever character you wanted to tank/hit crap with a weapon up with an item that made them berserked all the time. They hit meaningfully faster.
Human society is not a natural system. It’s constructed by human beings with the ability to reason, which means that as it “decays” we can sustain and expand it. Yes, one day the universe will end, and before that it may no longer support life, but we’re obviously nowhere near that point.
Jesus.
Even DotA, which I think is tops as far balance because even for strong heroes in the meta there are heroes or combinations of heroes built to obliterate them, occasionally has to reel heroes back in a bit.
