Not our world, not necessarily our military regs?
Not our world, not necessarily our military regs?
In human history, we have a very long tradition of believing ourselves to be unique, and it does not seem to have confused anyone. On the contrary, it’s when we discover that we are not unique (e.g., that Earth is not the only world; that there are many suns like our sun; that we do not live in the only galaxy, or…
There is only one natural conclusion. The intelligent beings that exist in this galaxy terraformed? their galaxy to look cooler than all of the other ones.
I didn’t know the new Kong was going to be set during the Vietnam war, but I like it. If you’re going to do another version of a well-known story, you need a new approach, and a new setting is a fine way to get that new approach. I look forward to it.
From the first time I read the title, all I’ve been able to do when reading or hearing about MEG is this:
Missed opportunity to be cool like Mr T, Statham.
And again 2016 shows that it is the most George R. R. Martin of years.
“There is a great disturbance in the Force. I have felt it.”
FUCK YOU 2016 .... !!!!!! Sad, sad year. For everythings. War, politics, famous people, personnal matters, FUCK !
It’s an ethical issue because it gives media / blogs more room to prattle about it.
George Lucas, called “A New Hope”
I presume you are referring to the controversial choice to not give this guy about an hour more screen time:
Thank you for including the statement that Cushing’s estate approved the use of his likeness. From a legal standpoint that’s an important factor. It’s not something that I had seen elsewhere.
DragonSlayer gave me nightmares for days as a kid after seeing the baby dragons tearing the princess’ foot off while devouring her. That was, and still is pretty traumatic. For me at least.
I specifically requested sharks with frickin laser beams attached to their heads.
Yeah, I will have wasted all that money on SiriusXM.
Technically, that’s correct, just not CGI in the same way it’s traditionally used. I just wanted to make the point that there was a difference in that there was a real face on one of them.
That’s my point. It was a real face and people still have uncanny valley happening. Tarkin was a bucket of CGI on top of a real person, an overlaid face . Leah was CGI lighting and makeup.
Tarkin’s CGI is “obvious” to you only because you already know its CGI. If you have something real to reference a special effect to, your brain by default will tell you the effect is fake. All things considered, the Tarkin CGI was pretty damn good.
Klingon Academy was my favorite. Because of the way the ships would break apart, like in the movies. As far as I know, until this very day, it’s the only capital ship combat sim that would break off ship parts in a realistic fashion related to how you hit them (or you were hit by enemies). A lot of space/fantasy sims…
