Correct, Nintendo is not trying to make a mobile phone out of this thing. Nintendo IS trying to retake territory from the mobile market though. A third party will likely provide the cellular capable hybrid device. Much like the Panasonic Q. As you said though, only in Japan. For a while anyway.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they were directly approached by Nvidia about re-marketing it. ;)

Yeah, I know. But I like to be among the first to try things. It really doesn’t bother me that they are a little rough. I’m still amazed by VR, I thought the cool factor would wear off, but I’d rather play an average game in VR than a good one the classic way. At least for now. :)

History has pretty much proven that consoles struggle above that price point. So, yes, I would have to agree.

Honestly, not really. I have SLI 1070's in the computer downstairs. I mean, I get a few more frames on stuff I guess. But, it’s not that big of a deal. I have not hooked my Oculus to the 1070's, so I don’t really know specifically about the difference there.

It does. But, it does on the PC version in some places too. In fact it’s more noticeable on PC because you’re cruising at 120 fps to suddenly have them fall to 30 or 15 for no obvious reason. I mean, I’m not saying the PC versions are not superior, they are. But you are changing the context of your original argument.

It’s just Nvidia’s next to latest Tegra chip. It’s pretty impressive and doesn’t cost a lot. The trick is in the lighting. It’s simpler, but still looks good.

Like I said, congrats on being eleven. mental and physical age are two different things. I have a (2) very nice top of the line PC(s), and all of the consoles. I enjoy free and paid MP. I don’t really have lag on anything. But I appreciate that you are concerned for me.

I know what you meant, I just mean that I happen to know that the video captured was from an actual Switch console. My reply to you was to get the reaction I expected from him. He’s a PC guy, defending his platform.

Thanks, that was exactly what I expected you to say. You fell for it hook, line and sinker. It’s obvious you’re a PC elitist. My PC is better than your’s. (Not a quote, my PC really is better than yours, with that video card). I absolutely love it. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. But, I don’t feel the need to find

Skyrim remaster is not an old game. It releases next week. This console is not under-powered considering it’s size. Skyrim’s remaster has some slowdown on XBOX One, PC and PS4. A portable at this size running it is impressive.

Which was one of the reasons no one bought the third party titles. Everyone already had them. The interesting hook here, though, is playing Skyrim, Fallout 4, Doom 2016 and Rise of the Tomb Raider on a Vita sized portable console.

Very good point. The original specs said touch screen, but he has a good point about how you would use it in the dock.

I’m not sure I would go as far as calling it a bullshit feature, it’s really good for off screen play. But yeah, for the most part, I preferred not having a second screen that I had to take my eyes off the TV for.

The DS and 3DS kind of prove differently. The difference is that you can look at both screens simultaneously on those consoles though.

Two screens that you can look at simultaneously is awesome. But looking away to the second screen does get old quick. For me, anyway. His example of Windwaker was good though. I did appreciate not having to switch to the inventory screen constantly.

That also means no Wii U backwards compatibility and even some changes to Breath of the Wild.

The original specs handed to developers said it was a touch screen, but you make a very good point about the dock. So, hmmm...

It is a touch screen.

That’s actually not true. Even Nintendo’s last release (Color Splash) uses the second screen. That said, I wish it didn’t, it’s more of a hassle than being fun. The best thing to come out of the Wii U was off-screen play. It’s what they’re focusing on with Switch, so it looks like they know it.
