Before people start up about how rigged they feel things were, just remember this became a simple matter of turnout. Turnout was high...for Joe Biden, not Bernie Sanders. There’s no question here that the voters have spoken and they want Joe Biden.

They don’t get to pick it. Biden also won:

It’s very interesting how the definition of “universal healthcare” keeps changing.

Because there are democrats there.

It was a pretty fair loss this year, as there was no heir apparent an the season was complete chaos.

“I care about human rights so much I think the votes of other people in different states shouldn’t count.”

I WILL STILL VOTE TO GET TRUMP OUT OF MY LIFE!

Florida held mail-in and early voting every day for two weeks. I think there were even Saturday hours at some polling locations.

Interesting discussion I read about that earlier, though - if there’s no election, Trump’s Presidency does dissolve as of 1/20/21.  However, if there’s no election, all House members aren’t in their seats at that point either, thus no Nancy.  It would be down to the President pro tem of the Senate, which would be

Yeah, this has been a weird one. I definitely think that postponing everything after this week was 100% the right call (which everyone’s doing). But I don’t know there was a good answer to this week’s primaries with all of the ballots cast already and all of the set-up, etc. Especially given when the “10 person” limit

The President absolutely does not have the power to delay federal elections under any circumstance. Buzzfeed actually did a very good article breaking down all the points that people have brought up.

The majority of the time people are standing outside and can keep a safe distance from others, and machines are being wiped down constantly. This should further prove we need mail in voting, or absentee voting extended, but it’s better for the economy and the state of the country if we get the nomination determined as

Are you really sure you’re ok with ... postponing elections due to coronavirus?

1) I applaud you for “focusing your efforts” elsewhere. I presume this means volunteering or campaigning for politicians pushing progressive policies at state and local levels. My biggest skepticism about the kind of ardent Bernie supporter I really dislike is that they talk as if he’s the only one who can enact the

Show me Biden’s Chapo. Show me Biden promoting internet trolls to prominent positions in his campaign.  Show me those same trolls highlighting the very people doing the doxxing and sharing doctored videos (when they’re not being shared by the campaign staff themselves).

Yeah, good luck working on climate change with Trump in power. Or saving Roe v. Wade. Or trans rights.

This is probably where we differ. I don’t believe that Biden is the same as Trump, and their respective records indicate as such. Biden isn’t going to put frothing conservative zealots on court benches, enact a criminally inhumane immigration policy, or cut taxes for the rich at the full expense of working people.

I suppose the question here is: if you can’t get 75% of what you want, will you settle for 30%, 10% or sit at home and see things keep going the other way altogether? Do you try to push things leftwards regardless of how far that push goes, or quit pushing when you don’t get as far as you want? Which think tank would

I definitely see a diverse base of people supporting Sanders - the distinction (and personally I have never claimed that they don’t exist, even in 2016) is that they are willing to criticise Sanders where and when he needs to be, and will vote for him even if their first option was (for example) Warren.

And I maintain that emoji bombing Warren—for example—was a big mistake. Not just because it was petulant and embarrassing, but also because the mainstream media seems to relish any opportunity to discredit the Sanders campaign, and some of his most vocal supporters on Twitter gave in to the bait far too easily.”
