Nice.
My thoughts exactly.
Finally, Putin didn’t pull this shit when Bush was President.
Oh man... this is relevant to my interests.
Depending on cheap gas to keep our economy rolling is an unsustainable, incredibly short-sighted gamble. We depend on an sustaining environment that can support us as a species, not the other way around. Changing the long-term condition of this planet which has allowed us to grow and thrive by our burning of fossil…

Great story. I love stories with unlikely camping vehicles. One of my favorite Jalopnik articles was about a meeting dude who was camping in the outback/wilderness or something with only his trusty Geo Metro and some supplies while they were testing a hot-shit new Ford or Ram truck. Good stuff.
Counterpoint: Piss-off Asshole!!
Hahahaha

I so want this car. I think it looks great, is practical and at least on paper this seems to be a solid effort on the part of GM. The extra range is just icing on the cake.
But that chart might be assuming highway miles only, not accounting for city driving, stop-and-go driving, or hilly terrain.
Nice bit of Trek trivia there. Glad to see Jalopnik getting in on the 50th Anniversary fun as well.
Hmm... I’d say nice. If i was a bit more of a gearhead, I might just jump on it mainly because I love the style. But I can see how the price might be a bit too much, so it’s kind of a tough call for me.
Seconded.
May I suggest a 2008-2010 model Ford Focus? There seems to be lots of these to choose from which have relatively low mileage, are well within the stated budget, reliable, and cheap to fix. Also, this offers good visibility, maneuverability and a small footprint for the inevitable city driving.
Nice comic, where did you get this?
Not an expert, but I would think that the higher pollution is just a consequence of population and population density since CA is one of the most populated states.
