It's one of my all time favorite TV dramas, and yet I've actually only seen it once.
It might be dated in its setting, but It really is timeless in terms of its actual comedic value. I find myself referring to various jokes on a frequent basis.
I found it a a very enjoyable series to watch on a week to week, even with all the dead ends and WTF moments that I didn't really ever understand. And yes, I liked the finale.
I remember walking through the woods at night after watching it as well. Surprisingly creepy, even for someone who generally doesn't get creeped out by horror movies.
Of my top 3 favorite TV dramas—The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, and The Wire, in no particular order—I didn't see any of them from the very beginning as they first aired. I was able to see newly aired episodes of The Sopranos (starting Season 3) and The Wire (starting Season 4) but had to binge on the earlier seasons.
It spread next door and caused a panic at the disco.
When Bowie cuts into the title track on Reflektor, it kicks the song up to a whole new gear.

Never heard of Alt-J until this past week. Heard "In Cold Blood" as a promoted single and immediately was hooked, bought their previous album and listened to it, and am looking forward to what this album brings.

Newtown, the recent documentary on the Sandy Hook shooting, was similar. Focuses mostly on the parents and other people in the community. The shooter's name is never spoken and rarely discussed.
