Hot damn

Nah. It has to stay true to its roots. Someone should make a kit to make a Cadillac  look like a Toronado.

Nope. Only reason that generation isn’t up there with the MII is because the Mustang II actually was somewhat cool. Hop up parts are still cheap for the V8, and actually exist unlike these. Not to mention body lines

Hans? That’s a new character to me. Who is that?

Don’t forget the 170 slant 6

Having a slant 6 ordinarily is enough to unmeh a car for me. However, in this case I have to say something I thought I would never say: the Plymouth Volare is NOT, I repeat, NOT a meh car because it was too terrible to be meh. Those sound like pre 2004 P71’s then. Ford took a lot of what it learned from the marauder to create the “cop chip”, a somewhat tuned ECU that was only installed in 2004+ CVPI, also known as P71’s, and a special air box that was similar to the marauder’s.

Oh it is. Someone on the Panther platforms forum dynoed a stock P71 they bought at auction, 95K and 6000 idle hours, and it turned somewhere just north of 270 HP. Suspicion there is around 280-285 was the true stock HP number.

Am I the only one who was wondering why some madman put a BMW front end on the mustang?

You are forgetting that the P71 made roughly 280-290 HP stock in actuality, as opposed to the advertised 224 HP of its stablemates the Town Car and Grand Marquis

Funny thing, I was just thinking about how bland and boring this was in real life after I saw someone get pulled over on the highway in one the other day. Dude promptly flew past me about 10 miles later. If nothing else, at least there top speed is probably fairly decent.

Answer is either a Mercury Grand Marquis or a first generation Buick LaCrosse CXS. Both ride poor streets well, and both hoon excellently

Seeing this tells me this is most certainly a Buick LaCrosse of the 2005-2007 body style (speaking as the former caretaker of the 250K CXS in Tallahassee). See below for reference:

Most likely it is a mid 1970’s Mopar A Body of some sort, but a Maverick or something non mopar with a similar profile is also possible.
