Yeah, the new model release had more or less rid the console of its manufacturer issues and XBL Gold had become the standard for console gamers.

Minor correction:

I know they’re a thing, yeah. But they don’t really solve the size or design issues and require me to pay even more money. So it doesn’t really do anything to solve the core problem.

It’s not really the same at all, though. Sales tax is determined by the state and applied individually according to whatever state you’re in. They can’t account for that and it’s assumed you know what your state’s sales tax is.

Gears 5 had a similar problem with their T-800 Terminator skins and didn’t address it for like 8 months. I hated that skin.

Gears Judgment and Gears Tactics are both prequels to the first game, but they’re also set during the Locust War. That war lasted 17 years and wiped out something like 90% of the human population.

Scrolling through the comments, I’m surprised people thought they’d be able to carry over their inventory from game to game. That’s not what I expected at all. No games do that. None I’ve played, anyway. It restricts what they can do with the inventory in the next game, and balancing would be a nightmare.

The smart thing would actually be to not do this at all.
