I think the reveal we got last episode was a) necessary and b) perfectly timed.

loving the campy queer elements, I know everyone wants answers, but I preferred the mystery of the first episodes and hope focus remains on Wanda. I don’t want all this build up of strangeness to suddenly be rushed so everyone can make sense of it.
I don’t think Stormbreaker has the ‘Worthy’ spell on it at all unless Thor knows how to place it.
Darcy was a better Jane than Jane tbh.
I hope they give her a scene in which she pronounces the word “Mjølnir” in perfect Norwegian just to show us she can say it now.
At the time of this show, it’s been three weeks since the Unblip (based on Hayward’s dialogue just after Monica arrives at SWORD). Of the remaining Earth-based characters who participated in the Battle of Upstate New York, here’s the ones who might still be useful in this scenario:
“Hey who’s got the phone number for the Sanctum Sanctorum?” Strange isn’t an Avenger and doesn’t live at the compound. I’m sure he’d be useful, but it’s not like he published his e-mail address in any of these.
Remember, the time frame of the show outside the “Westview bubble” has only been a couple of days. And SWORD is the type of agency that thinks they can handle anything on their own.
There’s lots of things they could do. Doctor Strange would be the one to call, for one. They could also contact Wakanda and ask them what happened to the corpse of Vision that should’ve been in their custody after the events of IW.
We don’t know if The Avengers are even a thing anymore, do we?
I realize the the meta-reason might be/is probably “too expensive for a small cameo” but it seems weird that the minute they identify Wanda and Vision, nobody even mentions attempting to contact the Avengers. Like, not even a throwaway line about how they can’t get in touch with them (which would be a good excuse…
I agree, I thought she was funnier in the Thor movies (perhaps because the first two were pretty boring overall and her role was almost pure comic relief) but she was more serious and grounded in this episode. Like, she still made some dumb jokes and showed off her snark, but also got down to business when it came to…
Proximity to Asgardian antics is probably inspiring. Also might cause multiple science professors to literally fight each other for the opportunity take you on a PhD student.
I cackled with glee when he pulled out his card like that
Two things I loved about this episode:
It’s fucking great.
I agree with this take. Fanservice is not, in and of itself, bad. It can be (and often is) done in terrible, cringy ways and ways that actively harm telling the work’s actual story, but this? I liked it, and I too popped when Carl’s voice changed.
Fan service isn’t necessarily a bad thing. In fact, in my instances, it absolutely isn’t. It’s evolved into a label to huff about in a condescending way.
Oh, I don’t think it’s that he’s a product of his times, he’s a product of the “I didn’t do it” mentality that I used to think most people came to terms with before they hit 30. I deal with people who are so terrified of blame and being held responsible that regardless if the question has anything to do with them…
I believe the president when he says he knows nothing about her. Because 100% the reason he singled her out among the doctors from the video was not based on her views or research but because he saw a black woman with a strong accent agreeing with him and he thought “If I support her, I won’t look like a racist”. …
