NEEEERRRRDSS!!!!

Well I’m learning something today, as all three of those were very good performances--and it never occurred to me for a second that they might all have been by the same person.  Bioshock Infinite is one of my all time favorite game’s, and his performance really sells it.

Reaction level:  Nuke the city

Apparently IGN mentioned Torv’s death in an Instagram post about the show...this morning.

But Ron Swanson, Apocalypse Version, is coming!!!

I’m already subconsciously adding ‘this is the way’ to everything Pascal says—if he were to wear a gas mask through most of the show with the added ‘muffling’ of his voice that would only be worse.

Now that I’ve finally watched RRR....I’m sort of speechless.  It’s an amazing, weird, sincere, epic film that’s sort of a cross between historical drama and Marvel movie, with a pretty good dance number and several songs thrown in for good measure.  It’s an experience for sure, and makes me want to watch more films

yeah I was a big fan of that scene as well (though the show sort of...went away?  Can’t remember a damn thing about it, honestly).

I would be 100% okay with Everything, Everywhere, All at Once winning Everything.

I love Mythic Quest!  And the ‘prologue’ episodes were odd at first, but add so much heart to the show that I find them brilliant now, and genuinely look forward to seeing them.  And I still shouted “Big Head!” as soon as he was on screen haha.

I’ve watched the premiere three times now (convincing different family members to watch it—my wife even enjoyed it, and I wasn’t sure how that would go. Helps that she likes Pedro from Mandalorian and Game of Thrones...probably helps they’ve toned him down from the game a bit as well) and the clues are definitely

pandering to nostalgia?  Seems to be the recipe for success anymore.

The only part of Rise that really whiffed for me was the “Damn dirty ape” bit. There is just no way to not have that line sound corny.”

As a child of the 80's, I’m a huge Depeche Mode fan, so my idiot brain immediately thought “wow cool song” on first watch of the show....and didn’t realize until my second watch that it was signaling something bad (though I’m still not entirely sure what that means due to them being so vague when describing the code

That would have been an unexpected ending of Pokemon to be sure.  I’m trying to picture how my kids would have reacted in the theater when I took them.  They were young, but I’m still imagining I would have heard their first curse words in the form of ‘what the fuck?’....and I would have approved.

I thought that character was modeled after (then) Ellen Paige?  Or maybe I’m mixing that up with another video game...

Well that’s far more creative than most parody names anymore. I’d be surprised if there was anything other than ‘Not the Last of Us! A XXX Parody!’ But now I’m curious to see how the ‘fungus’ would be used and transmitted in a porn parody....

Haha I made a comment elsewhere on here that surely I wasn’t the only person to yell “Big Head!” as soon as he was on screen!

It’s the “Walking Dead” problem all over again, really, in that you can’t look at it too closely or it starts falling apart (the worst one to me is ‘why aren’t there flies EVERYWHERE in the world of the Walking Dead? You’d think those corpses would be walking maggot factories after just a couple of weeks, and the

I kept mentally adding “this is the way” at the end of his lines.
