THAT’S WHERE I KNOW HER FROM!!! I mean, it wasn’t bugging me enough to look up her IMDB or anything, but I was definitely having one of those ‘what have I seen her in?’ moments.  I guess Fringe is about it, and that was a while ago.

I played just enough to get through that gut punch of a beginning and slightly beyond, but life came up and I never got back around to playing it more.

Personally I kind of dug it—we had slightly more information than the main characters as to what was going on thanks to the prologue, but after that we experience it as the characters do. You’d have to think they likely weren’t too far off for what it will be like for most people if/when the shit hits the fan...

Haha glad I’m not the only one...there’s a few of us ‘holdovers’ or Pre-K commenters still around.  I still miss the old comments section.

I hope I’m not the only person that shouts “BIG HEAD!” whenever Josh Brener pops up in anything.

Nice.

Oh no totally agree with your point, just pointing out it was a tape.

So...what did you think of Pearl?

We’ll have to agree to disagree on deathcore, but I’m down with the rest.

That’s mostly what’s added—a longer explanation of the ending...though, admittedly, it does take a more “straighten up or we’ll fuck you up” approach typical of “aliens realizing that humans are screwing up the world” genre.  It could entirely be that Cameron wanted to soften that and made the edits himself, but he

Severance was robbed.

I didn’t care for the presenting portion, either, but her acceptance speech was easily the most entertaining of the night.

OKAY THEN.

I mean, even the winner knew Severance was better (and I’m fully convinced he--like myself--100% expected Severance to win).  That was the biggest robbery of the entire night.

They actually aren’t real people, though--the host explained that it was a tape (so no one would take it out on the piano player).  I was trying to picture the days of when it was an orchestra (and maybe it still is at the Oscars?)--do those guys get annoyed as hell that it’s their job to play it and so many people

He was great in that and all, but I’m not sure I understand the over the top praise for Banshees. I enjoyed it, and everyone in it was very good, but it’s just sort of an odd little movie, isn’t it? Colin Farrell’s speech was second only to Jennifer Coolidge’s, so I’m okay with him winning more awards, but I’m

Not gonna lie, I’d be down myself.  But I would also be terrified.

No Playstation 3 or 4?

I have a deep affection for “To Live and Die in L.A.”, mostly because that scene where Friedkin decided he was going to top his own car chase scene from French Connection...and damn if he didn’t come close.  It wasn’t great, but it was good, and if you like a good car chase it has one of the best ever put on

That would be an interesting one to have a “hearts of darkness” style documentary done about it, as the story from everyone is it was like being in a very wet hell.  Plus, more information about the really cool ‘rat scene’ is always welcome.
