Insisting it were Gwazi would have made things worse. I think it opened in 1999.

This argument was like in 2001.  We were both like 10 at the time so it’s not like kids are reasonable, but in a way it almost makes it worse because Animal Kingdom was still kind of new.

The only thing I could think of was Kumba at Busch Gardens Tampa which he thought was Pumba, but going off of our ages he would have been like 3 in 1993 and shouldn’t have been big enough to ride.

Yeah, never step in to be the expert when you know someone is wrong because they will always insist they are right and it will only drive you nuts. I still remember getting into an argument about somebody like 18 years ago who said they went to Disney’s Animal Kingdom as a kid and rode the Lion King roller coaster in

I actually didn’t mean that as a mark against these (although I definitely tire of them quickly) but more as a response to the previous commenter asking for fun normal levels.

Yes, but “it’s fun” doesn’t make a good video or article sadly.

It also comes with a third longer shoe that will drive some people nuts and make others confused on how to put them on.

Yeah, I keep seeing Mario Maker 1 veterans tell new players that’s how you do it and I almost wish they removed that way just so people didn’t waste their time going through menus to find the mushroom every time thinking they were doing it the best way.  Makes it way easier when you can just pin the powerup you want

You’d be surprised though. I’ve found there’s a lot of little abilities in this game you can design levels around that people have no idea exist. One of my lowest clear rated levels in the first game was a level about different Goomba’s shoes. Most of my comments were people believing they were stuck with the big shoe

I think the sprinting one though is more about who your target audience is/what your target difficulty is. If your intention is making an easy level, absolutely yes: run through it without sprinting. By the end of the original Super Mario Bros. though, it starts requiring it more so if you’re ok with knowing that some

Please God, yes.  Also, while you’re at it, maybe you should think about giving a powerup or two at some point please?  Bonus points if you do the scalable powerups (long tap a fire flower to bring up the context menu, then select the mushroom)!

Super Mario Maker 2 is my life now. I think I probably put in 40 hours over the first week at least. I’ve lost sleep thinking of level ideas, and I still have just barely reached halfway in story mode and barely touched multiplayer.  Send help.

Doesn’t it have to be newly made for this contest?

Oh, what level was that?

In the event the new level requirement is dropped and because the true spirit of Mario Maker is shilling levels wherever you can get away with it, my level was Shell-ter In the Shifting Sands, a level featuring sandstorms, the angry sun, and dry shells: HJ7-NGW-SXG

I know you’re joking, but I did have somebody copy one of my levels today and found out they have “Blatant course copying” as an option in the in-game report button.

Darn, I always get sad when I see contests like this require a new course since I already used up my one halfway decent desert level idea.  I guess I could try to think of something else.

This is part of why I like that VR headset makers are shifting to off-ear sound solutions. Oculus Rift S, Oculus Quest, and Valve Index all have headphone-less solutions for delivering positional audio to varying degrees of success (haven’t tried the Rift S but heard mixed things. I find the Quest works brilliantly

Just because most people are terrible at designing stages doesn’t mean it shouldn’t exist.

Now playing

Someone is working on Sonic Maker actually and it looks promising:
