I was expecting $800 for the full kit so $1000 is a bit of a shock.  With that being said, all previews for it have said it’s a top of the line experience so at least it sounds like they tried justifying the price tag as opposed to the Vive Pro which felt like too little upgrade for way too much money.

This feels like one of those movies where the cultural references are at least 5 years behind, so I’m going to say no: it’ll be Gangnam Style instead.

Me on Monday: That’s it, I’m done with Overwatch.  Every hero they add has some sort of wrinkle that makes the game more irritating for me to play and the events are feeling less involved each year.

It’s weird because old Epcot is just on the limit of my memory: I was born in 91. I have absolutely zero memory of the original Universe of Energy, but at least Ellen’s Energy Adventure sort of kept an Edutainment angle. My memory of World of Motion is extremely limited as I think I only went on it when I was 4: I

That’s Universal Studios, not Disney World.

It’s an ugly game. The character designs are ugly with Sonic having weird proportions compared to every other game in the series. The non-essential human characters looked pretty terrible even by 2006 standards.  The less said about Eggman’s redesign, the better.  I still stand by the game looking bad.

I was a fan of Sonic around the time: not a huge fan but a fan. This game was never good.

I’ve heard about this effort off and on for a couple years now and I just don’t get it. The game was bad on every level from the story to the gameplay to the graphics to the level design. The house collapsed because the foundation was bad: don’t waste time building another house on the same foundation.

Yeah, it closed in 2017. The building that housed it is in the process of being gutted to be used for the queue/preshow/station of a Guardians of the Galaxy roller coaster which has nothing to do with Epcot but should at least be pretty fun.

Theme parks are actually my second big interest alongside video games, and particularly Disney parks. In my life I’ve probably averaged more than 1 trip to Walt Disney World per year although it’s slowed down in recent years.

Ah, I thought it was an art direction comment although yeah, I mostly agree. I remember hearing about how “Good” Skyward Sword looked in 2011 and I was like “Sure, in 2004 maybe.”

This isn’t a matter of looking great, though, it’s a matter of not giving the user a headache or worse just by looking at it.

Before we played the event when my group all loaded the game, we had a discussion on how the motorcycle would be implemented. We all agreed there was a 0% chance it would be in gameplay because that would be too cool (and hard to implement). Some of us were siding with “used in getaway cutscene”, I was on team “blows

Note: Chun-Li died on the way back to her home planet.

I actually didn’t know about this meme before I saw the Sonic the Hedgehog twitter account’s tweet yesterday.  Still didn’t stop me from cracking up at it though.

The game actually has a mode that disables combat for this reason.

Nothing puts out a dumpster fire better than dumping some gasoline on it.

These patches release at the end of this month, so they’re not 100% banking on you having whatever updated model to do this.

Phone vr is typically 60FPS I believe. Technically PCVR headsets can run 45 FPS games but they do processing to simulate 90FPS in those scenarios. Also, third person with camera movement absolutely can make you sick as it still feels like you’re in the scene. You just aren’t doing all of the action. Third person

I have multiple VR headsets and a 3DS, and trust me, it’s totally different than the 3DS. The 3DS you still the see the world around you and so you’re grounded. In VR, that visual information is taken from you and your brain becomes confused because it’s seeing info that indicates you should be moving but it doesn’t
