I don’t know. I’m hoping there’s actually a headstrap they just haven’t shown.
I don’t know. I’m hoping there’s actually a headstrap they just haven’t shown.
I’m guessing it’ll be just your head is floating where the camera is defaulting to Link always being in the center of your view, but you can look around/not look at him if you move your head. That’s how the smooth camera options worked for Bound on PSVR. It was slightly sickening even with VR legs, not going to lie.
Yes, that’s what both experiences look like. While not as cool as 1st person stuff, it’s still neat because it adds a sense of scale to everything. It depends on how they handle it, but the likeliest scenario is that you’ll be floating above Link and he’ll be the size of a human to you. Thus, you’d have to actually…
Yeah, I have my VR legs so I’m sure I can handle it, but people are going to rush to this as their first VR experience and even if it does have a smooth frame rate, they’re going to be so sick. You’ve got to build up to this sort of thing.
I have no idea how this is going to work given VR requires at least 60FPS to avoid sickness and Zelda can’t keep a consistent 30FPS, but I pray to God they’ve somehow worked black magic to work it out.
Yeah, after the reviews of Crackdown 3 and Anthem, I was really hoping to hear the backstory on both. We got the Anthem one, but given how long Crackdown 3 was in development and what a small scale game it ended up being (based on reviews/gameplay I’ve watched, didn’t actually play it), I feel like that’s got an…
I haven’t played this since launch, but even though I have it on PS4 already I’m going to rebuy it on PC entirely because of the VR patch. Minecraft VR taught me how awesome games like these can become when you’re in the world looking at your stuff.
I enjoy VR, but the initial announcement trailer seemed kind of lame like they were covering up the actual gameplay. I’m glad to hear it’s coming along better than that.
I’m sort of torn on it because I have an IPD of 69 and while I can use PSVR which has a fixed lens IPD, I have to have the headset placed perfectly and if it moves at all during use everything becomes very blurry because my eyes don’t line up 100% with the lenses. So, it’s not a dealbreaker for me, but I definitely hav…
In the VR community, it’s thought to be a shot at Oculus who announced an updated model of the Rift last week, the Rift S. The Rift S removed mechanical IPD adjustment which the lenses/screens can be adjusted to match the distance between your eyes in favor of software IPD adjustment that just adjusts the picture on…
Yeah, that’s always been my biggest issue with Splatoon 2 and it’s the reason my friends and I don’t really play it much outside of Splatfests where the option to team-up is actually functional.
Yeah, but I don’t have an Aim nor do I care about enough of the games that support it to purchase one.
Here’s hoping they’ll get a PCVR port up and running as soon as their 6 months of exclusivity runs out on PSVR. I have PSVR, but I really want to use both hands and have joysticks, not one or the other.
I guess that explains why Iron Man was MIA from the Oculus Marvel game.
I don’t think endorsement level has anything to do with matchmaking, and my level has been at a near constant 4 since the system was introduced because I play support/tank a lot. Maybe it has to do with squads though as I often play in a group of 3 people in quick play/arcade vs. other groups of 3, and often the…
I suppose, but given how little I ever see the “Action has been taken against a player you’ve reported” message, it wouldn’t surprise me if people have just given up.
How do they even measure this? Each time I’ve picked this up in the past year the in-game chat has been worse and worse.
The steam version will have the graphics seen in the top screenshot. The free version is still the ascii version.
Yeah, I still haven’t played this game since its launch month and have too many other things to play to go back to it, but if they added a VR mode, I’d actually rebuy it on PC just for that.
I’m not sure I’ve ever felt sadder for a console. Hell, I’m primarily a Nintendo fan but usually when Nintendo stuff fails and the company gives up on it, it’s for a “good” reason. The Wii U was dead on arrival and was all around poorly designed: going back to it recently, I forgot how bad and slow its UI was. It…
