I love these yearly lists, and after your list from last year it actually inspired me to make my own record of games played each year. This year was 35 games played, up from 24 last year although those records were probably incomplete because I didn’t start keeping track until the end of the year. With that being

After largely ignoring my PS4 for most of the year, I got Spider-Man, Hitman 2, and Astro Bot Rescue Mission.  I’ll probably start with Astro Bot since I’m still deep into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and it’ll be easier to play a platformer with quick levels along side it than the other two.  It’ll be my first time

That’s actually just one of the prebuilt roller coasters in Roller Coaster Tycoon, the shuttle loop (Turbine in RCT2).

FYI, going off of your screenshot it was your lack of banked turns that raised the intensity too high.

Yeah, pretty much every grab and kill move like this kills you before your opponent to prevent people from having a one hit KO move when both had one stock.  Ridley’s grab and drag also kills him first when you drag them off the side of the screen.

Oh, I know there’s plenty of ways to beat him.  My problem is I have his older moves stuck in my head when he had much less range so I make a lot of stupid mistakes.

I keep losing to Ganondorfs online entirely because I keep forgetting he has his sword now and so much super armor on his attacks that he will fuck you up with decent range now.  It’s neat to see especially when I remember the days of Brawl where he was laughably bad.

It seems like the kind of movie idea Michael Scott would come up with and it’s starring Michael Scott.

Every commercial I see for this movie makes it look like a parody of the type of movie it actually is, and the fact that Steve Carell stars in it doesn’t help, so it’s good to know it’s as awful as it looks.

I feel like this is a lot closer in scope of disaster to Fallout 76 than things everybody else has suggested, that’s for sure.  Still, though, its problems were more confined to the game itself where Fallout’s issues extend even to the bag the collector’s edition came with which makes it funnier to me.

Not even close to the same level of disaster.  The thing about Fallout 76 isn’t just that it’s a buggy game: it’s that everything around the game is also a disaster to the point that if they were to announce some kind of convention for Fallout 76 players, I’d fully expect the venue to collapse.

That’s just a poorly received game.  It didn’t have everything around it also be terrible the way Fallout has with the collector’s edition bag being wrong, the launcher uninstalling the game, the support site freaking out, and so on.

I know, that’s what I meant by “started out as too hard”.  I finished them all before the changes so I don’t know what it’s like now.

We had this argument before the game came out with my friends. They were all on the “you should have to unlock fighters” boat while I was in the “we all want to play this in two days and won’t even get to have the fighters, that’s stupid” boat.

I didn’t follow Diablo 3 that closely, but wasn’t its biggest issue (you couldn’t log in and it was always online) fixed within its first week? It had a marketplace people didn’t like too but I don’t recall it being nearly as busted as Fallout 76 is.

I have never been interested in Fallout at all, but I can’t take my eyes off the trainwreck that is Fallout 76.  I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a product fail in so many different spectacular ways from the launcher uninstalling the game to the support site handing out personal info.

Yeah, but Isabelle wasn’t an assist trophy in the same game she became a playable character.

It’s not that I’m in a rush to finish it, it’s that I feel like I never make any progress in it.  It’s like eating Thanksgiving leftovers for 3 weeks straight.  At first the turkey is great, then the leftovers are great, and then after a while you realize there’s way too much of it and it’s diminishing returns on

Yeah, I’ve been doing it in half hour to one hour long bursts, but I just feel like I never make that much progress save for whenever I finally beat a boss.
