I like the idea of World of Light a lot, but I feel it’s just too dang long. I’m 9 hours in and I was ready for it to end 3 hours ago, and I still have a huge number of things left to do just to get towards the end (as in not even for 100%).

Definitely agree there. Given how I grew up with Mario games and how innocent I tend to view them, seeing that trend was basically like seeing the latest trend on the internet be a sexy version of my brother.
I know everybody was losing their minds when Ridley was confirmed for Smash but I kind of figured it was a matter of time anyways. King K. Rool, on the other hand, had basically been shoved out of his own series for years and years and I never thought they’d actually bring him back. Hell, when they did the fakeout of…
Here’s my list in no particular order.
Still laggy. 1 vs. 1s with two people who clearly have stable internet run as smooth as they possibly can, it’s just as soon as you get in a match where one player is using their toaster as a router, you’re screwed because the game slows to accommodate them. Really, I’m not even sure even an update in net code could…
Yeah, trying to look for free for all games frequently landed me in games without my preference still (team games, games with items, stages with hazards, etc) but never landed me in 1 vs. 1s while trying to look for 1 vs. 1s never landed me in free for all. It’s a definite improvement, but I still want an unranked…
Technically it’s the Smash Bros team has no idea how to publish patch notes. Splatoon 2 receives detailed notes that go into exactly how every weapon has been changed not dissimilar to Overwatch’s patch notes, which makes the Smash Bros ones all that much more frustrating.
I’ve read that the Gamecube Adapter (at least the Wii U one) does actually introduce input lag currently: moreso than even Pro Controller wireless. Not sure if it’s true or not, but Cecilia may not be crazy.
This is the first time I’ve ever seen it (I stopped playing in Gen 3) and I agree it’s just awful. It looks like a grumpy old man wearing suspenders.
Yeah, I always disable those 3 in my random selections even when I’m all for items and random maps. They’re just so horrifically boring. My challenger fight against Palutena took 5 minutes because I was at 200% as fucking Little Mac and she was at 250% and neither of us could land a killing blow that didn’t just…
Somebody should make the anti-tournament tournament setup: All Assist Trophies, Ganondorf only, Great Cave Offensive.
*I should note, by low player count, I meant low players per match count.
The reason they don’t let you switch characters between matches is because you have separate rankings per character which matchmaking supposedly takes into effect...except it clearly doesn’t because it just throws random people into random matches together.
From what I had read, Peer to Peer is actually exactly what you want for fighting games or games with low player counts because it’s a direct connection to your competitor. However, seeing as how pros are being thrown in with people who are just trying to play the game, the latter probably don’t have an optimal…
It really is astounding how bad it is, but I do want to clarify something: GSP is measured by how many people you are better than the game at, and thus changes as more players get the game. Scores for classic mode work the same way. For example on launch day, I beat Kirby’s classic mode at 9.8 difficulty and had a GSP…
This only serves as a reminder of how shocking it is that the Detective Pikachu movie stuck to the original designs as closely as it did.
Yeah, I said that before actually trying it. For me, it was "I know you're Mario, but you should use the spirit that boosts Ness and Lucas PSI attacks."
Yeah, I was never a fan of FLUDD but I know the more competitive players love it so I’m not surprised it’s stuck around.
Yeah, I generally agree although thankfully there’s a button in the game where it’ll just autoequip some good ones for the situation.
Yeah, I’m torn on that. On one hand, I kind of like the sense of progression you have building up that character select screen. On the other, I’m going to be playing with friends this weekend and want everybody available, so I’m basically going to have to do homework to unlock them so we can have more fun.
