Hate to be that person but in that instance he was correct in putting the period outside “how to use a bidet”. If the quotes are someone speaking, then the period is part of their statement so it goes inside. in this case, he was quoting something he googled. you would not google with the period so it goes outside.

Who calls their significant other by their full name?

Yea....as soon as I saw he used her full name instead of just saying “Taylor”, my suspicion hackles were raised. Who calls their significant other by their full name?

We had the most infuriating conversation about that in my law school property class. There were people who tried to argue that the Rondo neighborhood only got demolished because that made 94 a straight shot. Right. That’s definitely it. Certainly no other reason.

Let’s be honest. Most Americans can’t even speak English correctly and still criticize foreigners.

I’m a reality TV editor by trade, and despite not caring about these people at all, I do enjoy my profession so maybe I can offer some insight (while procrastinating on the network notes I have to do for the show I’m working on). The cuts around 00:26, they chopped some stuff up but the only thing they really

I think it was really fantastic that Marlee Matlin played a pollster on West Wing who just happened to be deaf. As someone whose family carries a hereditary, dominant form of deafness, that meant a great deal to me.

As it’s said in almost any post with Gabrielle Union, can we launch a NSA level investigation about what she’s doing and whether we can sell it because homegirl is pushing 45 and looks a solid 28. It never ceases to baffle me.

Whether she likes Trump or not, if he wins, it will be because of people like her.

A late addition. This goddamn man bun

I wrestled with whether or not I should really quit for a long time. I had quit before, for long periods even, and then rationalized going back because ‘I can control it now’ and ‘maybe I don’t really have a problem,’ just flip-flopping back and forth. Then one day someone said something that struck me, hard, like a

You can do it. You will find so much more to live for once you’re in control of the drinking. At first, I had to schedule things during all of my free time, in locations without booze. I must have gone to what seemed like 1,000 movies. I got to be pretty good at bowling. And I knew every damn nook of the Borders

A 22-year-old who doesn’t vote and who desperately wishes she was a black woman (specifically from Trinidad for some reason).

Can’t tell if this is a troll or severe alcoholic.

This is beautifully written, and I’m so glad you responded with this:

I’m sitting here hungover, and this popped up in my FB feed. I’m looking at having to close my business that I’ve had for nearly 10 years and while I’ve blamed everyone else possible for why I have screwed it up, it’s me. And beer. And I know it. I too have left myself “drunk me” messages to “sober me” (in my notes on

I love this series. Love it. I’m not an alcoholic. I rarely drink anymore. But my life is full of alcoholics in my family and my husband’s family and this is giving me so much insight. My BIL’s wife has a particularly bad time of things. And she’s a mean drunk. She’s never nice to me. But thinking about it from this

I had a habit as a young drunk woman where I would “take breaks” from drinking. They were normally a few days or a week, the longest was a month. No one ever questioned them, everyone around me understood the “I am taking a break to give me body a rest” reason. Some people also assumed I was taking a break because I
