The only “requirement of her job” is to play tennis- not to be antagonized by someone who is not in her high pressure position and can freely provoke her for a soundbite. She is free to make any choice she wants, she just has to pay a fine/penalty. Good thing she is the highest paid female athlete in the world.

Leaving this here. To anyone says being antagonized is “part of the job” for fame, success, making big money, blah blah blah you’re missing the point. Some journalists are out to provoke because the bad/nasty reaction gets the headline. It’s a manipulative move and journalism can exist with integrity without it.

I once saw an interview with Freddie Mercury. I can’t find it, so I’ll have to paraphrase from memory.

The fact that you don’t see the problem shows your privilege.

I don’t really understand the appeal of this collection but being plus sized my whole life I haven’t really felt a lack of oversized pieces with weird sleeves. I feel like Eloquii has a lot of the same vibe going on with ruffles, sleeves and bright prints if people are into it.

Oh, c’mon. The Girl Who Takes Off Her Glasses trope is as old as glasses themselves. No offense to Ms. Cook, but she wasn’t even close to being the first. For example, Humphrey Bogart totally doesn’t notice that Dorothy Malone is supermodel gorgeous until she takes her glasses off in “The Big Sleep,” and that was in

I want to go back and live in the parallel universe where movie critics are women and praise this, Jennifer’s Body, and other feminist films made for girls while eviscerating the mindless crap like Battleship or whatever made for men with zero plot or POV.

I was 17 when this came out. I think I thought I was too old and too cool so I never saw it. Now I definitely feel like I missed out.

josie and the pussycats is one of my favorite teen movies from that time. it has an amazing cast, one of the best soundtracks, and you can’t go wrong with parker posey and alan cumming together.

The fact that this movie doesn’t have a blu-ray release is insane. It has so many amazing actors (plus Tara Reid giving a really good comedic performance) and is peak snark. The simple fact that none of the product placement was paid for makes the joke even better. The directors other movie, Can’t Hardly Wait, is also

Right? “AND YOUR FRIENDS!!! AND YOUR MONEY!!!!!!”

Slightly disappointed you didn’t ask about the anti-drug PSA where she smashes up her kitchen with a frying pan.

It’s been a few years since we bought a Toyota (okay, more than a few - 2004), but back then they were offering very different option packages to different regions of the U.S., so that might preclude ordering (“you can’t have that configuration in Montana”).

If you have watched The Fifth Element, you would know that cruising is as much a part of our future as personal hoverboards.

“Trust the customers”

Maybe this will be the death knell of the mega cruise ship, which based on either previous Boatlopnik or Earther reporting, I can’t remember which, seems like an unequivocal net positive for the earth. From labor, human rights, and environmental perspectives, the cruise industry can't die fast enough

Even in the best of times a Cruise ship is still a floating petri dish.

You couldn’t get me to go on a cruise if you paid me.
