This SHOULD be an error, and it would be on the fielder who threw to an uncovered base.  You can’t be charged with a mental error, only a physical misplay, so it wouldn’t be on the catcher.  You could also argue that a catcher going up the line to back up a throw to first isn’t even making a mental error.

Pretty sure he finished third behind Watson and Jennings, no? #semantics

That is...not how he lost.

I believe the category, which didn’t appear in the article, was “Capital A.” So it was all capitals that start with A.  My point is a big part of Jeopardy! is the context of the clue and the category.  You can do it, Burntmagpie!

No, man, they lost, get with it

Found the Dave Martinez burner account!

Contestants have to spell words as if they’re being said by a native Philadelphian (i.e. “Water” must be spelled “Wooder”).

For a second, I thought the Scattershot Nationals were a team in the South Atlantic League.

The Boston Bruins don’t want to talk about their promotion with Barstool Sports, and neither does the NHL.

You just know the fucking Cardinals would be in this game.

Depends which rock he hits on the way down.

I dunno, but his opinions on the dongs themselves was probably Demetier debetter.

Counterpoint: if you had the choice between an 86 mph pitch to the dome or 96 mph pitch to the dome, which would you choose? Those 10 miles per hour make a lot of difference then, right?

This is the only league in which ownership and executive management go to the player. In other leagues you hear about the player flying to various cities and meeting with ownership/management.

More than any other player in this current era of the Tomato Boys
