Maybe this high school student didn't want their name attached to an article that contained their thoughts on an event that I'm guessing an admissions person would not be happy about, thus ruining their chance at getting into a school.

Journalists/Bloggers (I'm not getting into that conversation) Have a responsibility to protect their sources, should they deem it necessary. This is par for the course and is not in any way unusual.

I don't think my father, the inventor of Toaster Strudel, would be very happy to hear about this...

I feel like you should have your adult card (seeing rated R movies, buying alcohol, voting, that sort of thing) revoked when you say things like, "My daddy knows some pretty important people."

I delivered pizza for Papa John's in college. I quit in a blaze of glory, both birds flying, when the manager told me he'd fire me if I refused to deliver to a set of motels after dark. At the time there was an un-apprehended violent rapist attacking women in motel parking lots in my town. I told him I'd take every

And fuck you for tsking us about our temper.

No. It is nothing like that at all. You need to go back to metaphor school.

I suspect watching you hit on women is like watching a dinghy hit on the Queen Mary, at least in terms of maturity.

I was at the pub a couple of weeks ago reading the news on my phone (just stopped in for a couple after work and to chat with the cute bartender). Some old dude (easily my dad's age, and I look way younger than I am) sat next to me, introduced himself while my nose was buried in my phone, then asked me why I was so

Hey, have you ever considered not cat-calling women at all? Because man, nothing makes a woman want to fuck you more than being someone who treats her with genuine, easy-going respect. Truly. It works. I totally put out for men who are lovely and funny and decent. It's worth the effort. You're less likely to make a

When I was a teenager, an older boy walked up to me in the mall, took my hand, and asked me "hey sweetheart, where you boyfriend at?" I told him that I had had a boyfriend, but that I'd had to kill him. His eyes widened, and he walked away as one of his friends told him "I told you that one would be trouble."

If he didn't want all this attention, he shouldn't have dressed like that. ;)

FUCK THAT. Calling out sexism has nothing to do with whether these men are "marginalized" in some way.

So.....let's let disenfranchised dudes harass women by way of a consolation prize? Hell, you'd think dudes who themselves experience discrimination would be reluctant to turn and punch down, but I guess "bros before hoes" REALLY is the universal rallying cry, isn't it?

I was once on the subway platform and this guy can up to me and starting saying "ay you got a man? if I was your man, I wouldn't make you ride the train. I'd drive yo fine ass all over town".

I have a friend from Nashville staying with me in Chicago. Yesterday while walking to a bus, some guy started hollering at her, even crossing the street to get closer. He finally asked, "where's your man??"

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone at that lovely ass."

I would not enjoy doing that. So, she kicks ass to do it for me.

remember the part in the bible where Jesus interrupts the stoning of the sinful woman to comment favorably on her physical appearance?
