Ben Platt isn’t the biggest problem in Dear Evan Hansen, Evan Hansen is the biggest problem. The character is just awful - takes no responsibility for his actions (and he has many chances) and gets away without recrimination. I have no idea how this character resonated with so many people.

I’d be pissed off with him for wearing that dopey hat. Disappointed that someone in the crowd didn’t knock it off with a beer bottle.

going by the horrible reaction at the time, i assumed Solo was a huge failure, but seems it made Tom Cruise Mission Impossible money. Huh.

for a movie with so many huge, bombastic scenes, it had a ton of lovely grace notes too. My favourite: Spidey asking Tony Stark if he’s seen this really old movie called Alien.
