he was going to remake “Piece of the Action”? Yikes.
This. Pulp is one of the best things i’ve read in years. Should be on everyones bookshelf.
same, just trying to understand if Noel is stepping around the point that Prince didn’t go to college. And why that would matter.
which is fine, but come out and say that then.
i think it was supposed to be clever
...trying to parse why you feel the need to say “self-taught”? Where else would he get his opinions...
nah, it’s mediocre. Too many other good movies to watch or rewatch instead.
yes we do and it was terrible, and he didn’t work in it, reinforcing my point.
yeah, it’s close enough to the era it was made. (And it’s also very good.)
can someone ask Brett Goldstein if he knows what Roy Keane thinks of Roy Kent?
fair, and they where both excellent but since those where mostly light/humorous/supporting roles and not serious leads, they got away with it. This movie does not look light and/or humorous, but i was giggling even before the tailer finished, and not in a good way.
fair, but he was wearing a suit, so the point stands. And yes, he was “da bomb”
that’s perfect
sorry Matt and Ben, you only get to be in modern movies. You don’t work in period movies, you just look wrong. Kylo Ren there tho, he’s fine, he gets to do modern, old-timey, space movies, anything. Sorry, there’s rules, nothing i can do about it. Go make a Jason Bourne or something, but whatever it is, you need to…
The Apple TV remote is a great idea. But what i really want, now that Logitech aren’t in the universal remote business, is a really good universal remote app. (Which makes more sense than another physical object anyway.) Anyone got a recommendation?
that Sparrow Envy book sounds excellent. Just special ordered it from my local bookstore - good job AVClub!
oops - sorry...
good shout - it’s really good. Made me want to explore her other work.
it looks remarkably dumb, and not in a fun way either.
