I really respect Kenneth Branagh as an artist. Fantastic actor, excellent director. But screwing around on Emma Thompson? Now I have to reappraise my opinion on the schmuck.

recent opinion, even the horrible Daily Mail’s, seems to have come around to the Morning Star’s view: she was recently voted the worst PM of the last century.

she was the idiot pageboy. She’s so good, she was almost unrecognizabe.

I think its every Monday, and there’s no tea involved, it’s a briefing. (It was depicted regularly in the first two seasons of The Crown) Anyway, Liz famously hated Thatcher, the feeling was mutual, and the briefings where reportedly indeed brief.

She totally deserves it, though. Perhaps not for Favourite, but throw a dart at a list of most anything else she’s been in, and that’ll do.

Saw The Music Man recently and after, all I had stuck in my head was “Monorail! Monorail! MONORAIL!

I didn’t love Voyager, but that episode was brilliant.

*golf clap*

now I want to see Moore and Morrison silently mind-battling in a cafe in Cairo.

I honestly think the only thing wrong with this movie is the final scene: I wanted them to all head back to the Mansion and sit around a big table, discuss who’s on monitor duty tonight, who wants to hit the gym, get tea from a butler...

when Disney first bought Marvel, I heard a story that the Disney board assumed that Perlmutter would take his millions and eff off to Florida, so they where horrified when he hung around, stuck his nose into RDJ’s contract negotiations, and even started to attend - and make noise! - at board meetings.

“My only complaint is that they are virtually impossible to clean right, so when they get gross, just toss it and deploy another.”

“My only complaint is that they are virtually impossible to clean right, so when they get gross, just toss it and

perhaps they don’t want to deal with that wizened old Trumpite Perlmutter.

*blushes*

So, who’s going to play Eve Babitz in the inevitable movie version? (C’mon, you know it’s going to happen)

thanks for the tip - I watched it last night and cried laughing. His deadpan is perfect, particularly when he’s telling dirty jokes, really fast.

Question: are Deborah Ann Woll and Eldon Henson terrible actors or are they badly directed? Even Rosario Dawson is a bit flat in the first season of Daredevil so I’m leaning to the latter.

is that from the link? Thanks for doing the hard work for me! (and wow - $15mil for a Netflix special?)

if they’re making $25mil a year, and the prices are prohibitively high for anyone but the upper middle class, then yeah. Do two shows at half the ticket price and only make $15mil, show some noblesse oblige there, Ricky.

Let me add another to the chain of “how did (insert name) make $(insert sum) this year???” comments: Ricky Gervais? What did Ricky do to make 25mil? That can’t be Office residuals, can it?
