let me add to the list of “things that are the only good thing in Love, Actually”: how Big Nighy air-guitars when he talks.

I love the idea of someone loudly rolling her eyes but I don’t think I want to know what it sounds like. Squishy? Or a long pffffff?
it does a bit. And I can’t be certain, but I think a lot of their top 25 where movies that seemed to come and go without much fuss - didn’t Buster Scruggs and Support the Girls get lukewarm reviews on this site?
Don’t know what this says about me, but this list is much better than the AVC’s actual Top 25.
liking the sound of that. Send me a link...
with Rob Brydon as Buster Keaton?
he looks camp as hell in that second photo so perhaps that's it?
couldn’t imagine the point of this movie when the excellent documentary RBG exists, and after reading this review, I still can’t.
is this where we tell our AVClub tech overlords how badly Kinja is sucking in the last few weeks? Honestly, there’s a whole thread on the “Best TV performances” comment section about all the various hassles that we’re happening, on all different platforms. None of use ever loved Kinja, but recently it’s rendered the si…
I just love that this post is the most popular on this stories comments. Hopefully someone from the tech department is ready this...
actually, I use Disqus on another board, and it’s a mess now too. Sorry.
tried that, but it just takes me to a page with a grid of site logos. If I click on the AVClub logo, I’m back on the main page. (Thanks for the tip, though.)
my favourite Rhys moment: when he tells Elizabeth that he’s sabotaged the plan to kidnap Kimmy. It’s his very subtle sneer when he says “yeah, it’s not gonna happen...”
I’m on Safari, so it’s not Chrome. And I have to sign-in everytime I visit. It’s a pain.
A much as i love The Americans, I never really rated Noah Emmerich - his default facial twitch was actually quite irritating - but the final few episodes of the final season where stunning. Starting with his silent search of the Jennings house, to that amazing stand off in the parking garage, he went above and beyond.
yup, I’m having the same problem. And if I click on a notification, it just hangs - you too?
go on...
feels like the actors take doesn’t it? Where Tucci asks Johnson “can I just do one where I don’t say the line? Can we try that?”
damn! I love this movie and I didn’t get the connection with it’s first scene and First Avengers final scene. Good catch. (Also “Matter of Life and Death” opening scene is devastating. If you’re watching for the first time... hang on to yer hankie)
saw Infinity War on the opening weekend and the crowd went nuts at that scene. (To be fair though, it wasn’t the biggest cheer - that was Thor appearing at the battle in Wakanda. And as you said: Thor! a c-lister for non-comic book people. Not Batman. Not Superman. Thor!)
