AH-EYAH-EYAH....
AH-EYAH-EYAH....
oh, she was excellent, but she seemed like a dozen other English actresses of her type. Natalie Press seemed like something different, but she’s a “where are they now” so what do I know?
Funny, because, yes Emily Blunt is indeed brilliant, but when I first saw her in My Summer of Love, I assumed that Natalie Press would be the next big thing.
you’re right, and I should have remembered that, since I actually saw the nice big 70mm version.
any movie over 2 hours needs an intermission. Last one I can remember was Dances with Wolves, and it helped the movie enormously.
meanwhile, Ewan MacGregor sits at home, staring at the phone...
yeah, I read that. Odd, because I also heard it was very different from the book...
yeah, I have the same compulsion. (At least a season. But if it doesn’t pull it together for the season finale, I’m out. I’m looking at you, Homeland...)
yeah, thats probably fair - perhaps it was too over-hyped for me. Good cast, and it looked pretty but the script was well below average. Honestly, I was bored.
looking forward to her lifting that microphone and brandishing it at her boss, like Finn in that snowy forest.
So, i was the only person that thought Night Manager was terrible? We where all ok with the sub-Fleming plot? Basically what if as preposterous as Bond but no fun?
good point:
nice sarcasm.
....poor young White House staffer...”
I the response from the cinema suggested it was a liability issue - as in, they didn’t want to be liable for a trip-and-fall injury if someone left in the dark. Wonder if there was a legal precedent? Ever hear of a lawsuit like that?
now that you mention it, I think that happened at the IMAX screening that I saw too. My local chain said that it’s mandated by the studios, so perhaps we need to start yelling at them.
thats interesting. I actually contacted my local cinema chain and they said that it’s a safety issue and the “lights on” time is mandated by the studios. Sounded like bs to me, but your comment kinda validates it.
I just wish the theatres wouldn’t crank the lights up as soon as the credits roll. Sometimes, it’s so sudden, it actually got a laugh from the audience.
Sounder and Timbers are bigger for sure, but to say that a “Seattle - Vancouver rivalry... doesn’t exist anywhere in professional sports” is just wrong.
“Third: There’s a great Seattle - Vancouver rivalry ready to be exploited - it doesn’t exist anywhere in professional sports, yet.”
