perhaps for Skyfall, but not now. Sorry Idris, you’re a god but you’re too old to play a late-30's dude.

know what your statement has in common with the scene in the movie where Freddie tells the rest of the band he has Aids, just before they walk on stage at Live Aid?
he completely transformed the character too: I’ve read a lot of comics and I’ve never seen the Joker as a serious threat. Too broad, too cartoony. But Ledger actually delivered on the promise as Batmans archvillain. So charismatic, so clever, so vicious. Great performance.
I wonder if “Dr. Clive” is a reference to Colin Clive, who played Dr. Frankenstein in the Karloff movie...
I meant, he’s almost unrecognizable as the guy from Brokeback Mountain. You don’t think so?
this is good news, but c’mon, no mention of the brilliant theme theme? One of the Top 10 tv themes, easily.
not at all - you shamed me into googling it too. I was just scrolling down hoping someone would explain it...
I know we’ve all said it, but Ledgers performance is breathtakingly good. Hard to believe it was the same guy who was in Brokeback Mountain.
going by that header photo, perhaps he’s playing The Ventriloquist instead?
is it ok to be disappointed that she’s blond now?
shouldn’t be surprised: most north americans can’t pronounce “Worcestershire sauce” properly.
The man has no shame, does he?
isn’t that awesome? I almost went for Cholmondeley-Featherstonhaugh, but that seemed like showing off...
always loved that he sounds like he was throwing up in his mouth when he said that.
I still think it was... most effective...
ugh. Probably came over with the Normans...
fair enough: it’s a style thing, but honestly, few of his friends have really confirmed anything, and thats let a lot of rumours float around. And Louis hasn’t helped with any of his statements, either, unfortunately.
no, it’s a really good question. But it sounds like it was more than a rumour: Sarah Silverman says she heard that he liked to do it in front of people, and when he asked her, she was up for it (so to speak...)
“...he had clearly never heard anything about it before then.”
according to Warren Ellis’ newsletter, he came at this fresh, and didn’t know the video game. So either he’s fibbing, or there where other writers on the show to add the fanservice.
