Totally. I didn’t (consciously) notice the earlier placement but also thought it was a real, but dead brand. Was really surprised to find out, years later, that it was invented for the movie, and couldn’t understand why it felt so convincing. Then, when I saw the movie again a few years ago, I noticed the placements…

why? Because it’s not a real brand? Yeah, I know - thats why the placement is so clever. They seed subtle references to it before it appears, to make it believable. (Didn’t spot that until I saw the movie again a few years ago.)
