I think one thing that was really good about this case (and documentary) is it shows how damaging these kinds of relationships are - which is why we call them abusive. Adults who use these kinds of techniques on kids may be rationalizing it as ‘consensual’ since the kid isn’t actively fighting them off - the poor kids…

I’m so sorry you experienced that. I was in tears as Safechuck and Robson described how much they loved him and how heartbroken they were when he moved on to someone younger. Seduction and emotional manipulation like this is so cruel. I’m not sure Jackson understood the extent he was crippling the kids; I’m not sure…

I too stopped watching Allen films when the accusations aired. Being talented and being famous doesn’t give a person carte blanc to be a asshole.
