This entire thread is why I chose to buy my house in a poor neighborhood. literally the only thing that my neighbors have ever cared about is whether their dog can play with my dog while I’m at work. And for the record, this doesn’t even register on the scale of eyesores in neighborhoods.

My ‘73 Bavaria has the same thing going.

Right there with you.

But then you meet the joys of a W108 heater core, or a 70's BMW gearshift linkage, and you gain an appreciation for restomodding REALLY QUICKLY.

Libel is notoriously difficult to prove.

I drive a 1973 BMW Bavaria, so approximately... all of the money. Plus several thousand dollars worth of cursing a month.

Why can’t all transmissions be that good?

what region are you in?

That would be my guess. Peich is no fool. And this is exactly the sort of tactic that an intelligent man in his position (with a questionable moral compass) would use to regain some ground. It just goes to prove, it’s never easy to dethrone the king.
