The Phillies make me sad. Last year they were no good, but they at least were a wee bit exciting to watch (sometimes, maybe?). They looked like they were having fun, and guys like Odubel and Cesar and Freddy were having fun.

The girl’s bitmoji is wearing a “Thug-life” shirt. She’s obviously appropriating black culture. I’m more outraged at that.
That was also, like, four years ago—wasn’t it?
And the fact that Crosby does that thing where he wants his AAV to be $8.7 million, surely saving a ton of cap money, right?
I feel like there is always a rider or two, out of the GC favorites, who takes a few climbs to get their legs under them, and it usually screws them over. I think I remember Cadel Evans being like this...
I think Team Sky is a bit vulnerable this year. As you said, the Tour this year is (purposefully) not designed to be good for Froome. Where as Froome, and Sky, made their living the past few years on those long mountain stages where there would be two HC and one Cat 1 climbs—Team Sky was so strong that they could just…
That dejected looking first-base coach. Oh my goodness.
I agree with all of your previous takes on this subject except this one. I’ve seen Sagan do this in race after race. He just mashes the pedals with little care as to where he ends up on the road. Surprising to me that it took so long for an accident like the to happen.
Here’s hoping that this is the Tour of the Breakaway. It’s always fun to see the peloton muck up the timing and allow the breakaway to stay away until the finish. Then you get to watch the chess match in the final few kilometers between the breakaway riders.
Very high speed chase.
HOW THE FUCK WAS BD WONG NOT ALREADY A MEMBER OF THE ACADEMY
Granted they were mostly 2nd round picks that he traded away, but he did do it several times.
Well, if I’m not mistaken, Pebbles is actually the worst or second worst forward in terms of P/60.
But uh...still pretty cool with them take PEB. One of the worst forwards in the league the past few seasons, but the coaching staff/management was, for some insane reason, so in love with him. This frees up a spot in the starting 12 for someone.
I mean, you seem to care more about Hinkie than I do, so I guess I’ll take your word for it...but can you tell me when he actually ever made trades that resulted in less picks? Or, more specifically, less meaningful picks? Taking back trash (Keith Bogans) to move up 10 spots in the second round doesn’t count, either.
I feel a bit bad for Tebow. He obviously should have tried to make it in baseball. I know it is Single-A ball, but .224 average isn’t that bad for a guy who hadn’t played baseball in years. If he can do that with relatively no training, what do you think he could be doing if he had worked at it for years?
Here’s the thing about The Process...I feel as if, if Hinkie were still GM, he would have traded the #3 pick, not to move up to get Markelle Fultz, but would have found a way to move to #7 and 2nd round picks in 2019 and 2020 — andthen proceed to pick Jonathan Isaac or some shit. And Sixers fans (of which, I am one)…
Well, that’s what I’m saying. He’s fine, but at best, he looks like a 1B. And I can’t see VGK tying up $9.75 million in cap space for two goalies who aren’t going to be their “goaltender of the future” (which is what Subban, Pickard, etc. could be). Not that they’re going to be hard up for cap space, but their cap…
Edited to say: Nah. I’m not diving into this one.
I don’t disagree with you that it would have been a better option, but this is the franchise that values loyalty to a fault (as mentioned above). This, in my opinion is them betting they won’t take Mrazek and displaying their loyalty to Howard at the same time.
