Huh. I’d love them to buy Nintendo. Nintendo is really shitty to its fans and won’t release any of their titles outside their platform, so it really can’t get any worse.

I would hate for them to buy Nintendo. First of all, "their success lies off their hardware" means they would kill the Switch and move things onto Xbox. Second of all, no I can't argue this anymore it's just too awful to consider

It’s not just the price increase, but the multiplication of services. Everything used to be under the Netflix banner, and then content providers started withdrawing their shows and starting their own streaming services.

Outside of stuff like Game Pass where you can ‘bank’ an extended period of time at a pretty steep discount if you keep an eye out, I’ve long since adopted the a la carte purchase model with subscriptions, which is to say I cancel them the instant I buy them.

Yeah came here to say this. Didn’t every crew member get $100k? I imagine they were already being paid *very * well to begin with. Nevertheless, $100k is life-changing money for almost anybody

Oh, you mean it’s entirely possible to treat your workers like human beings and pay them a good wage and still make millions of dollars for yourself and the studio heads are just lying sacks of crap?

We’re going to see it opening weekend and tickets were already thin on the ground like a week ago. This thing is going to make some serious cash, and I’d love to see it end up as one of the highest grossing movies of 2023 as a middle finger to the studio execs.

Because that’s exactly what it is, they’re literally just splitting up the content differently. There are some minor differences like apparently being able to do the content in anachronic orders, but let’s face it, barely anyone’s going to do that because they’re going to do the new content as soon as it drops.
