The Lifehacker.com site I loved seemed aimed at early adopters and tech savvy folks... the current Lifehacker is hocking 12 year old MacBooks... Unless the part about getting a cheap laptop to run Linux Mint on for the novelty got dropped during editor review...

Don’t buy this. It’s so old it’s a security risk, since it gets absolutely no OS updates, and most programs probably won’t run on a Macbook that old. Plus, it’s on Apple’s “Obsolete” list, meaning you won’t be able to get any support or repairs for it. Even a cheapo Windows laptop will be miles better than this tech…

Meta. Facebook and Google understands the power of branding. This is why they created Meta and Aphabet Company respectively. Twitter should have done the same. Created a X parent company where twitter is part of that.

One thing I am fairly certain of - Car Manufacturers can’t make a decent UI by and large. I have a Nissan and a Acura.. the Acura is newer (2022) but the UI is just trash. This behavior is horrendous, but also, it’s super weird. This is a level of obsessiveness you would see from a stalker who got rejected by his favorite actress. I’m starting to think there are a lot of men on the internet that can’t grapple with who they are so instead they just harass people they are told to not like.

Don’t conflate being a racist asshole with having mental health issues.  

I respect your decision in not naming the community manager. If you’ve played Destiny 2 and read their TWABs, then you know who it is. It’s really shitty that they ended up leaving the company. They were great at communicating with the player base and addressing issues.

Maybe I’m reading too deep into your comment, but let’s not conflate racism with mental illness. There are plenty of people with mental health issues who manage to not be racist in their treatment of others.
