Yeah, thats true. Around the time of novigrad, i realized it was repetitive. The actual story is what kept me engaged. I didnt do any side-quests or anything else, was waiting for NG+, but never got around to it.

the opening area, was actually boring for me. It wasn’t until after leaving the intro area (white orchard) that the game actually got fun for me. I played the first area, then didn’t touch the game for a year or two, then picked up again

They have no desire to do so. They want people to purchase their new games, and make money off them.

Not sure why, but this reminded me of how the dubbed version of anime in the 90s would replace guns with other things, and dialogue would be changed (DBZ and “sending people to the next dimension” coming to mind for example)
