From what others said, some folks will check in/go through security more than 3 hours before their flight. This can be due to a night time flight, and checking out of a hotel with no other plans/places to go. Then setup camp in a lounge.

What I am wondering is, who is staying in a lounge longer than 3 hours if they don’t have a layover?
