I imagine the reasoning is that the expansion drops on the 10th, so this way, people can enjoy/focus on the expansion, europa, and everything, then the seasonal content starts the following week, which I imagine also leads us into the raid in some capacity.

If you get a PS5, it will support all ps4 games as far as we know, keeping an existing ps4 if you have limited space is redundant.
Except, if you need to reinstall, doing so from a disc doesn’t take as long as a full download. Not to mention, a lot of people also do not have that great internet access.
