It’s more accurately, a social game. There’s a lot you can do alone, main story/campaign mode. But to enjoy endgame content like the raid, you will want to have people to play with. You don’t have to do any PvP activity in it either.

Speaking as a veteran, the game is going to be information overload for newcomers, especially given how bad bungie is at explaining things in game at times. Internet as an instruction manual or not, most people are not going to be hardcore gamers who understand things in game out of the box.

IIRC, the cat statues in dreaming city don’t do anything after getting all of them either. So I imagine these jade rabbits are just collectibles...

The simple answer to why they climb escalator stairs but not real stairs. It’s not that they like it, they’re in a hurry, its faster to climb stairs in an escalator than on a staircase, regardless of if it slows shit down for others. Not sure why that wasn’t obvious

It was because they were under the impression that new players would have veteran players as friends, and wanted to make it so you can jump right into the new content from the get go. This way there wasn’t any discrepancy.

I did not enjoy Destiny 2, and I felt like I wasted my money on Destiny 2.

If you want to jump into the newest content, all you need is shadowkeep. You can buy the rest of the season passes seperately. If you want black armory, jokers wild, opulence, etc, you want forsaken (which itself is great).

There is, but you dont have to be forced to play through the whole campaign to unlock all abilities in order to play in crucible if thats all you care about.

What makes this a trip for me is that its coming from the Army. I feel like if the DoD is sending out a warning/alert, shit is very serious.
