Well, with trading cards, you can trade those to other people and arent necessary stuck with them. You have other avenues to get what you want.
The stupid thing is, people were gladly spending money on cosmetic items in Destiny 1, as a direct purchase. There was little complaint over this. The problem is, this avenue is no longer available in Destiny 2. The only way to get the same items is by gambling silver (in game $$ currency) on loot boxes, dismantling…
