Microtransactions fund the live team for the game that runs servers and maintains monthly events. Paid DLC is to cover the new DLC packages. They’ve long established this, and have been transparent about it.

In a corporate IT environment, pretty sure that the fanciest stuff will not be as useful as what works efficiently for the daily grind. I don’t imagine a fancy screen or Uber camera being too useful. Maybe if I find a deal on an SE, I will think about it.
