I should build a PC this year... Growing up playing Wolfenstein 3d,a game that was “PC-13"(lol). I can’t imagine playing any Wolfenstein or Doom game on a console, it feels weird. That’s just me.

Since I already have an x1, I don’t see the value in getting a X1X. 60 fps is nice, but we are still at the mercy of devs and how they choose to do things. Better to put that money towards a PC, which I can use for more than just limited to games.

I would have no problem with devs embedding flaws in the game that only show up when the game is pirated, ie batman’s cape, or the earthbound one where they delete the save file when you get to the end

Some people pirate games so they dont have to deal with steam, or other DRM, or other crap, but still buy the game because they’re “honest”. Some people pirate games to try before they buy, and buy the game afterwards.

Or, they can embed a flaw in the game no one really notices that detects if the game is pirated, and once it does, it pulls an earthbound moment where it deletes the save file

Realistically, cults utilize things that affect human weakness to perform their brainwashing. Even the strongest willed person can be eventually brainwashed. Utilizing drugs and sleep deprivation in particular for example.
