This is definitely what I wanted. I see this not so much as a live-action version of the 1998 Mulan, but as just another retelling of the story.  I know they steal/recreate some of the shots from the animated version, but this comes off as an epic version that’s tonally pretty different.  I’ll gladly pay to see this.
