Same, I’m a dude and one of the fun things about games is you can not be yourself. Playing as a lady as fun and yeah they usually have better characterization.

I just wanted to add that many times, the voice actors for female versions of the player characters do a better job than their male counterparts.
They also have way cooler character designs than “Sam Worthington lookalike”
Same here. For the last 10 years, when giving the option in character creator I’m choosing a woman every time. It’s refreshing after all of my life of gaming to just hear a different voice, to live different stories and I actually think the voice acting to be better (Cyberpunk, Mass Effect, Assassin’s Creed).
The “men” throwing kicking and screaming tantrums over not having 100% of representation are the same ones who insist representation doesn’t matter.
given himself an atomic wedgie, and he thinks the waste band on his head is a gold crown
He believes that but clearly he’s pissed that no one else is falling for it. This is basically a tantrum and everyone just walks away from him.
The space combat is pretty fun in STO, but the ground stuff has been rough from day one. One million years ago I won a closed beta invite by entering a writing competition on their webpage. I played tons and tons in the beta and then for about a year or so into launch, before falling off. Went back two years ago or so…
Title promises bloopers, we get 1 sort of blooper and a bunch of unrelated instagram posts. Sheesh.
I’d argue that what most people wanted was a campaign focused game like Black Flag that had no AC storyline and instead more pirate stuff.
I wish the final forms were a mathematician, a different kind of mathematician, and a statistician.
While still disappointing, I don’t find it very surprising that a developer from a country in which 98% of the population share the same ethnicity and culture struggles to grasp the depht and importance of representation issues.
If you can’t have people of color in your fantasy world, then that means your fantasy is a world without people of color.
I’m having trouble imagining how Rooster Teeth can come back from this. Over the weekend I watched as dozens of people who were, by their own definition, ride-or-die RT fans for almost twenty years just said “I’m done.” And when Rooster Teeth had the opportunity to right the ship, they put out the most generic “Sorry,…
Oh please. I agree that the most thought-provoking episodes weren’t centered on combat, but were more philosophical. “Inner Light” is an example and yeah, it was great.
You are not legally obligated a platform. Steam found that the developer violated the terms and conditions of their contract and terminated it. Freedom of unlimited legal contract and freedom of association are part of the first amendment. As long as the terms of the contract did not break existing law, then the fault…
Hahahahahahaha.
You seem to be missing the entire problem.
This is a really good take. You might also add that depletion of police budgets only eventually harms those that genuinely require law enforcement, typically beat cops in areas that actually need them.
I never got into raiding in WoW because I didn’t want to be shackled to a schedule, nor did I want to worry about having the most leveled up and optimized character.
