Are you a Christian Scientist or something?

You aren’t clever at all. Sorry.

um, hate to break it to you, but we’re all gonna die from SOMETHING.

Shut the fuck up.

This is idiotic:

So this is what we have here:

Your sense of justice is... bizarre, at best.

Exactly. Lots of people feel lots of things, but not all of those things are accurate.

I only eat meat that wasn’t specifically grown as livestock grown for human consumption, because the overwhelming majority of those animals raised for us to eat live lives of endless torture. Basically, this means I’m vegan unless I caught it. Ends up being almost entirely fish, because for the most part - fuck

Except they don’t know better than me what tastes good TO ME.

And if you don’t like the way it’s prepared why would you come in? That’s why there’s more than one restaurant in the world...

Allow me to translate everything you just said:

In which case you and I are on the same team and I apologize for the misunderstanding (not to mention blame Kinja for yet one more thread fuckup) :) Carry on, folks, nothing to see here.

And when you forget that you’re serving people who have individual tastes and preferences and cannot all be expected to like it the way you’ve prepared it, you put yourself above your customers, which, especially in the service industry, is not close to acceptable.

What kind of beet is ‘fancy-assed’? The only difference between these beets and fresh beets cooked at the restaurant was that these beets were boiled and skinned elsewhere. Beets are beets. Unless the restaurant claimed to be serving organic or locally sourced beets and were actually serving canned (in which case,

If I’m paying someone to do something then they better do it the way I want it. If I hired an artist to paint me a picture and I told them I wanted it to be mostly blue and it came back finished in all oranges I would be upset. The same goes with my meal. If I’m given the option on how I want my steak cooked the chef

The point I see is if the chef insists that things like steak have to be cooked a certain way then don’t give people an option. You can’t ask how someone likes their meat cooked and then be offended because they chose an option you don’t agree with. If the chef insists that all steaks be cooked medium-rare then put

You don’t owe him an explanation. It’s basic customer service to present the food in a way that the customer wants. If the chef doesn’t like that then he shouldn’t be serving customers.

I also like my steak to be well done and I don’t give a fuck what anyone else thinks about that. These self-righteous assholes that think meat should be served rare can shove that steak up their ass for all I care. What gives them the right to tell others how they should eat their food?

I’m sorry but: Are beets out of a can something we’re not supposed to eat? Just because something is cooked, canned and sold at a grocery store, that’s no reason to assume that it “can’t be eaten.” If the issue is that they probably charged 10Xs more for the beets than they paid, I encourage all of you to look into
