As good as Stranger Things was able to use “Running Up That Hill,” I still prefer Eddie shredding to “Master of Puppets” in the S4 finale.

I mostly remember just two things from Andy Richter Controls the Universe:

I think it’s obvious Taylor’s not dating him for his brains.

I have defended Heigl, somewhat, because one of her first movies was as a 15-year-old girl opposite reputed creep Gerard Depardieu in My Father the Hero. On the other hand, if he’d done anything creepy to her specifically, she seems the type who would have called him out on it by now.

So no Ronny Cox in this?

It’s not Lethal Weapon or Die Hard, but it has a few shoot-outs and Murphy was at the top of his game in the first two. I liked them better than both 48 Hours, which are also solid movies.

But probably not for the porn performers.

So Soul, Soul, Soul would be an R&B version of Spinal Tap or Pop Star?

Liberal, but occasionally kind of assholes. Remember when California voters banned gay marriage via ballot prop?

The Lottery and How To Cook for Forty People

That’s a great Groucho Marx line if I’ve ever heard one.

You know what was weird? Liotta had a cameo in the first season of Young Sheldon that teased him as a recurring character (Annie Pott’s bookie), then he just disappeared. This was about five years before he died, too, so it’s not like they didn’t have opportunities. Who brings in an actor like Ray Liotta for one

I always took in vino veritas to be more about truth as a philosophical concept, not literal honesty.

So make Taylor: The Early Years, then wait a long time to make part two?

The director of the definitive Taylor Swift biopic probably hasn’t been born yet.

I’m hearing very little about A Quiet Place: Day One.

Fighting a life- threatening disease and doing a show called Not Dead Yet. That is fucking chutzpah, man.

I’ll get the lights

So I guess no one is on weekend news wire duty anymore? Because Martin Mull deserves a obit, don’t you think?
